The Be-friending Agency is a local social enterprise running befriending services to reduce isolation and loneliness by creating connections and lasting relationships. New referrals are now available to apply.
Their Telephone Befriending is a free service offering telephone befriending to people who are isolated and lonely and who find the pandemic situation challenging. The Telephone Befriender, the volunteer on the phone, will call the client every week, supporting him or her emotionally and helping to regain lost confidence.
